But before we jump into Northern California’s top stories: The Bay Area is in for yet another blast of summer heat with temps set to climb toward the upper 90s and beyond for some inland areas heading into midweek. The usual hotspots may touch triple digits, while San Francisco proper climbs into the high 70s.

"Building high pressure will lead to less night and morning clouds with warmer daytime temperatures," NWS Bay Area forecasters wrote Sunday. "The warmest days will be Tuesday and Wednesday, especially away from the coast. Cooler weather returns by next weekend."
