Woman Struck by Car, Critically Injured While Trying to Catch San Francisco Train

The 55-year-old woman was crossing 19th Avenue diagonally at Winston Drive when she was hit.

San Francisco, CA— A woman was critically injured in a collision near Stonestown Galleria Friday night as she crossed 19th Avenue to catch a train, San Francisco police said Tuesday.

The 55-year-old woman was crossing 19th Avenue diagonally at Winston Drive just after 9 p.m. to catch a light-rail train when she was struck by a southbound Lincoln Town Car, police said. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The driver, a 43-year-old man, was not arrested, police said.
