Up to $6,000 Clean Water Grants: Apply by May 10
Get funding for projects in Alameda County that keep creeks, wetlands and the Bay clean and healthy.

The Alameda Countywide Clean Water Program is offering grants between $500 and $6,000 for projects that protect local creeks, wetlands, lakes, beaches and the Bay. Proposed projects must be aimed at reducing pollutants that are enter the storm drain system and end up in waterways such as litter, garden chemicals, automotive products, pet waste, etc.
Projects must be located in Alameda County and contain a community or public outreach element. The goal is to raise awareness that water entering the storm drains does not get treated and to promote behaviors that ensure only rain goes down the storm drains.
Activities can range from litter cleanups, creek restoration and wildlife habitat enhancement projects to art and multimedia projects, community outreach events and more. Creative and innovative ideas wanted!

Eligible applicants include teacher and student groups, youth organizations, homeowner associations (HOAs), community groups, environmental groups and non-profit organizations. Projects are expected to start in August 2024 and be completed by July 2025.
