• Suspect Implicated in a Stolen Car Ring Arrested at ‘Chop Shop' (crimevoice.com) — San Leandro police and a regional task force say they shut down a sophisticated stolen-car “chop shop” on the 700 block of Alice Avenue, recovering multiple vehicles and a trailer. A 46-year-old Oakland man was arrested, faces felony charges, and authorities credit the operation with significantly disrupting organized auto thefts in Alameda County.
   

• San Leandro apartment complex bought by real estate investment allies (mercurynews.com) — A 186-unit apartment complex on San Leandro Boulevard has just been bought for $47.4 million by nonprofit Step Up Housing, backed by real estate partners Sack Capital and Align Finance. The deal, completed Tuesday, came in about 21% below the property’s assessed value and aims to preserve and upgrade affordable housing for current and future residents.
   

• Castro Dog Dad Seeks Public's Help In Finding Dognapped Frenchie, Hank (sfist.com) — A San Francisco dog owner is asking for help after his French bulldog, Hank, was stolen outside a Castro bar last week, amid a wider trend of Frenchie thefts.
