All Lanes Open As I-880 Traffic Slowly Clears

HAYWARD, CA — An injury crash on northbound interstate highway 880 at Tennyson in Hayward has been cleared. It blocked three lanes of traffic for about an hour, causing a backup all the way past the Dumbarton Bridge.

The crash involved a semi truck, a motorcycle, and a Prius, according to the CHP log.

The severity of the injuries is unknown.

Traffic is slowly clearing.

At 4:45, traffic was stop-and-go from Tennyson in Hayward all the way to Blacow in Fremont, with vehicles moving at between 4 and 7 miles per hour.
