“I Have A Dream” Concert in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

In August we will observe the 60-year anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. In celebration of that historic event, the La Peña Community Chorus invites you to a concert featuring the Bay Area premiere of a stirring new piece for narrator, chorus and piano based on Dr. Martin Luther King’s inspiring “I Have A Dream” speech that he delivered at that historic march. We welcome special guests, the composer and accompanist, John Maas, Benjamin Mertz, and members of Vukani Mawethu.
