Longtime USPS Letter Carrier In San Leandro To Be Honored In Ceremony

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The United States Postal Service is honoring one of its retired letter carriers, Charles Harries, for his 56 years of federal service in San Leandro. The in-person celebration will be held on Thursday, July 10 at 8:30 a.m. at the San Leandro Post Office.

The role of a USPS city letter carrier involves delivering and collecting mail in an assigned area, by vehicle or on foot, under varying weather and road conditions, according to the USPS website.
