Mathnasium will soon celebrate its grand opening in San Leandro.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A new learning center focused on helping youth make strides in mathematics will celebrate its grand opening Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Called Mathnasium, it's part of the national franchise of the same name, with more than 1,100 locations worldwide. Its arrival in San Leandro means that local youth will have the opportunity to receive math tutoring and support.

"Our goal is to create a welcoming space where kids can build confidence and a strong foundation in math," said Neha Sharma, Mathnasium San Leandro's director and owner. "We know that math skills open doors not just in school, but also in future opportunities—and when students feel successful in math, it boosts their overall self-esteem."
