• San Leandro Man Arrested In Connection With NorCal Burglary Spree: Sheriff (patch.com) — A San Leandro resident was among four people arrested after authorities stopped a vehicle linked to a string of early-morning burglaries in Lake and Mendocino counties. Deputies reportedly recovered cash, burglary tools, and assorted stolen merchandise, and connected the group to a third break-in in Ukiah. All four were taken into custody on suspicion of burglary and related offenses.
   

• El Sobrante woman among 13 arrested in statewide organized retail theft investigation (contracostaherald.com) — San Leandro was one of four cities where a major CHP operation, “Operation Silent Night,” arrested 13 people tied to an alleged organized retail theft ring. Officers recovered more than $800,000 in stolen goods from flea markets and storage sites across Northern California, with suspects now facing multiple felony charges in Placer County.
