San Leandro Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing

On Saturday, about 5 p.m., San Leandro officers said they responded to a report of a stabbing along the 700 block of Billings Boulevard.

SAN LEANDRO, CA—The San Leandro Police Department is asking the public's help in solving a fatal stabbing that occurred over the weekend in the city.

On Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, about 5 p.m., San Leandro officers responded to a report of a stabbing along the 700 block of Billings Boulevard.

When officers arrived, they said they located a 24-year-old white man, from San Leandro, sitting in the driver’s seat of a white Chevrolet Camaro suffering from at least one stab wound.

Officers and other medical personnel attempted lifesaving efforts, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased, police said.

According to the police, the investigation is ongoing; however, preliminary indications are that this stabbing was not a random act.
