San Leandro Traffic Advisory: Expect Flashing Traffic Signals
The City of San Leandro has issued a traffic advisory related to a street paving project. Drivers should expect delays.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Drivers in San Leandro should expect flashing traffic signals and slowed traffic due to asphalt reconstruction on Bancroft Avenue, the City of San Leandro warned Tuesday.
The city issued a traffic advisory, warning of ongoing pavement work happening through July 25. Drivers should expect delays.
The pavement work is part of the city's Capital Improvement Program.

This week’s anticipated work includes the restoration of an East Bay Municipal Utility District trench at the intersection of Bancroft and Juana Avenues, excavating and slurrying an area within the turn pocket at Bancroft and Callan Avenues; and completing base repairs along Bancroft Avenue and side streets at approximately 24 locations.
Various components of the project were completed the previous week, including the trenching and installation of conduits at Bancroft and Juana Avenues and at Bancroft and Joaquin Avenues; the removal of the top layer of asphalt pavement along Bancroft Avenue; and the installation of new conductors at Bancroft and Estudillo Avenues.

From Thursday, July 7 through Friday, July 25, traffic signals along Bancroft Avenue, affecting several intersections, will be placed in flash mode Monday through Friday between the hours of 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. “to facilitate the repaving of Bancroft Avenue,” according to city officials.
