Sheriff's Office Investigating Fatal San Leandro Shooting

The Alameda County's Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 8 pm on Jan. 30 in San Leandro.

SAN LEANDRO, CA -- The Alameda County's Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred around 8 pm Jan. 30 in San Leandro.

The male victim, whose name and race have not yet been released, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died after being taken to a local hospital, according the Sheriff's Office.

"Our preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred on 167th Avenue near E. 14th Street," the Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

"This is an ongoing investigation and we will provide updates as investigative leads are developed," the statement continued.
