SAN MATEO, CA — A man was shot near San Mateo High School on Thursday afternoon and police said Thursday night that they were actively investigating the incident. The 27-year-old man was transported to a local trauma center. Police did not provide an update on his status. The incident occurred on the 1000 block of College Avenue.The incident was isolated and targeted, San Mateo police determined. They are asking for any information or surveillance footage to be sent to Detective Sergeant Kurt Rodenspiel (650) 522-7662 or <a href="mailto:KRodenspiel@cityofsanmateo.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">KRodenspiel@cityofsanmateo.org</a>.The investigation remains ongoing and police said they will release information as it becomes available.
