Campground Fee Increase Proposed At Point Reyes

​Point Reyes National Seashore is considering doubling fees for overnight stays at park campgrounds, and has requested public comment.

POINT REYES STATION, CA—Point Reyes National Seashore is considering doubling fees for overnight stays at park campgrounds, and has requested public comment.

The park is proposing the following increases for Wildcat, Glen, Coast, and Sky campgrounds, as well as all Tomales Bay boat-in sites:

  • Standard tent site (1-6 people): From $20 to $40 per night
  • Small group site (7-14 people): From $40-80 per night
  • Large group site (15-25 people): From $50-$100 per night

If approved, the fee changes would take effect on January 1, 2022.

The proposed increase would "support current and future park projects," according to a news release. All campground fees collected in Point Reyes stay in the park.

The park has not increased campground fees since 2010, according to the Point Reyes website.
