2 Suspects Accused Of Stealing More Than $1K From San Ramon Target: Police
San Ramon police arrested two shoplifting suspects following a foot chase.
SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon police, including members of their Organized Retail Theft Suppression Team, arrested two suspects in connection with the theft of more than $1000 in stolen merchandise at Target, the according to the San Ramon Police Department.
Video uploaded to social media shows officers arriving to Target and initiating a foot chase that ended in two arrests. One suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant for theft and resisting arrest, police said. The two suspects were charged with multiple felonies, and police recovered the allegedly stolen merchandise.
San Ramon has seen a number of high-profile theft incidents in recent years, leading to the formation of the Organized Retail Theft Suppression Team. In September, several masked suspects robbed Heller Jewelers. Two days before, a suspect robbed the Wells Fargo bank on Crow Canyon Place. In April, a criminal syndicate was charged with stealing from a Sunglass Hut in San Ramon, in addition to several other East Bay locations.
