My name is Isabelle. I volunteer with ENGin, a nonprofit that pairs Ukrainian youth with English-speaking volunteers for free online conversation practice and cross-cultural exchange. Through the power of a global language, ENGin equips students with the skills needed to access academic and professional opportunities while also preparing a generation of Ukrainians to rebuild their country.
I've been tutoring two Ukrainian teen girls; it is humbling and rewarding to be a part of their educational journey, and I will continue supporting them in any way I can.
Volunteering with ENGin also allows students to develop their leadership skills further and expand their intercultural understanding.
