Photos: Dougherty Station Community Arts Center Opens
The San Ramon community celebrated the opening of the new facility, which boasts art studios, galleries, recording studios, and more.
SAN RAMON, CA — The San Ramon community gathered Monday for the grand reopening of the Dougherty Station Community Arts Center, a renovated creative space that includes an expanded dance studio, green room, expanded art galleries, six private artist studios, two soundproof sound studios, two community rooms, and a music room.
The ribbon-cutting was attended by the San Ramon Mayor and City Council, Parks and Community Services Director Kathi Heimann, Parks and Community Services Commission Chair Will Doerlich, and a number of local artists, dancers and musicians. Guests enjoyed performances, demonstrations, and time to meet the local arts community.
