SAN RAMON, CA — San Ramon is hosting two Community Town Hall events to discuss its $14.5 million budget deficit. City Manager Steven Spedowfski will present an overview of the city’s financial outlook, revenue sources, and potential deficit solutions, and allow time for feedback and questions.

According to Danville San Ramon, a staff report shared with the council in March outlined a projected $14.1 million shortfall in the 2024-25 budget, leaving city officials to identify areas where cuts can be made.

The newspaper reports the deficit is nearly twice as high as others faced in recent years and could require millions of dollars cut from various city departments and leaving many currently vacant positions unfilled.
