Spring Session: Now–June 9 at San Ramon Olympic Pool
Summer Session: June 10–August 11 at San Ramon Olympic Pool & Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center
Ages: 6 Months–Adult
Registration is currently open for Spring & Summer swim lessons. San Ramon Aquatics offers swim lessons through ElitSwim ranging from Parent-Tot classes to the Adult Strokes Club.
Limited spaces are available for Spring lessons offered Monday–Sunday, now–June 9 at the heated San Ramon Olympic Pool (9900 Broadmoor Drive, San Ramon, CA 94583).

New Bus Route from San Ramon Senior Center to Central Dublin
Wheels Route 4 Runs Daily to and from Dublin BART Stations
The Livermore Amador Valley Transit Authority (LAVTA) is now offering new bus service from Central Dublin to San Ramon's Alcosta Senior & Community Center (9300 Alcosta Blvd).
Wheels Route 4 provides fixed-route service to and from both Dublin BART stations, and offers interline connections to Route 3 (serving Stoneridge Mall) and Route 14 (serving San Francisco Premium Outlets in Livermore), opening new shopping-by-bus opportunities to San Ramon residents.
Wheels Route 4 runs weekdays from 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
New Wheels bus stop signs have been placed on Stagecoach Road and Alcosta Boulevard, outside the Senior Center.

StreetSmarts presents
Community Bike Rodeo
Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
FREE (Registration Required)
San Ramon Valley Street Smarts is excited to host another Community Bike Rodeo! This year's will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Charlotte Wood Middle School Blacktop (600 El Capitan Drive, Danville, 94526).
Enjoy a free, fun-filled event! At this educational, skills-based training for children and families using bicycles or scooters, learn lifelong bicycle skills, and increase your family’s basic bicycle knowledge in a safe, organized environment. Helmets are required!
Featured activities include:
- Air and maintenance station: Learn tips from professional bicycle technicians
- Bicycle Helmet Fitting Station: Hands-on helmet fitting and adjusting instruction
- Bicycle Skills Course: Learn real-world skills needed to maneuver bicycles on roadways and trails
- Safety Bike Skills Course: for ages 5–12
- Course/activity prizes: for students 12 and under

Last season, San Ramon Performing Arts hosted Grammy Award winners Lyle Lovett and Zakir Hussain at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center.

Community Open House on the Orchards
Thursday, May 16 from 4–6 p.m.
Lakeside (2600 Camino Ramon)
Sunset Development will be hosting a Community Open House on Thursday, May 16 from 4-6 p.m. inside the lobby at Lakeside (2600 Camino Ramon, San Ramon CA, 94583) to provide updates on design progress for the former Chevron Park property (Orchards) and the Bishop Ranch core and to receive feedback from the community.
At this special Community Open House, the following topics will be discussed:
- Redevelopment plans for Chevron Park, within the Orchards neighborhood
- Proposed expansion of retail in the downtown core
- A planned public amphitheater
- Plans for parks, trails and open space to promote walkability for San Ramon
The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is necessary.
Community Events: City Financial Outlook and Funding Needs

The City of San Ramon is committed to providing the essential services and facilities that our community values, while also being fiscally responsible.
The City of San Ramon has begun its 2024/25 Budget Process, and is navigating rising costs that outpace year-over-year revenue projections.
Community input is vital to budget planning and protecting San Ramon’s future.
The City is seeking community feedback at several upcoming Community Town Hall events this spring, where City Manager Steven Spedowfski will present information on San Ramon's Financial Outlook and Funding Needs, and together with City Department Heads, will receive input from residents.
Each event will include an overview of the City’s financial outlook, historical context, revenue sources, potential deficit solutions, and open mic time for feedback and questions.

Art & Wind Festival
Sunday, May 26 & Monday, May 27
San Ramon Central Park
The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival is back at Central Park (12501 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon CA, 94583) on Sunday, May 26 and Memorial Day (Monday, May 27)!
This bike-, family-, and pet-friendly festival features arts and crafts, three live entertainment stages, puppet shows, professional choreographed kite flying demonstrations, two festival food courts, family amusement zones, helicopter landing, sensory zone, free kite making workshop and much more.
Highlights for this year include a performance by Aki Kumar, San Jose’s ‘King of Bollywood Blues’, and featured artwork entitled ‘On the Wings of Butterflies’ by Pleasanton Artist Rhonda Chase.
Come for the kites; be blown away by the music, food, and family fun!
Construction Update: Crow Canyon Widening
Work continues on the Crow Canyon Widening Project between Alcosta Boulevard and Crow Canyon Private (Cobblestone).
Work Recently Completed Through 5/1/24:
- Paving operations and roadway striping from the Alcosta intersection through the Crow Canyon Road at Tahiti/El Capitan intersection, Tahiti Drive, and El Capitan southbound
- Comcast eastbound utility relocation work
Work Planned Through 5/9/24:
- Eastbound landscape and irrigation work
- Excavation, concrete and roadway work between Barbados Drive and Crow Canyon Private
- Eastbound paving operations to begin with traffic control changes in late May. Traffic control will include the temporary closure of Barbados Drive. Eastbound paving operations are anticipated to be complete by the end of June.
- Potential beginning within the next 3 weeks of westbound survey and storm drain work, with traffic control installation to close one westbound travel lane

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing
Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work.
Work Recently Completed Through 5/1/24:
- Completed Abutment #1
- Poured Abutment #2
- Poured Column #2
- Poured Pier 1 Y-section
- Poured grout for Pier 3
- Poured Pier 5 bottom column
- Poured Pier 5 Y-section
- Set Pile Cap Vertical Bar Support and Pour Grout for Pier 3 (median area)
- Formed / poured North Leveling Pad
- Formed / poured South Leveling Pad
Work Anticipated Through 5/9/24:
- Continue demolition, excavation on the Iron Horse Trail
- Continue abutment, pier and MSE wall work on the Trail, including rebar installation and concrete pours
- Continue MSE panel deliveries and installation
- Continue median work for Pier 3 – will see increased construction work in the median area. No additional lane closures are expected at this time.
