The victory advanced the girls to Sunday's championship game against the NBEFC ’01G Blue - GALAXY.
AZURI 02 controlled the championship game but could couldn't score in regulation time. After an exciting, scoreless overtime, the game went to penalty kicks. The excitement continued as the game was tied 1-1 after the first four shots. Finally, on the fifth shot, our girls scored and the GALAXY missed. The game was over. Our girls rushed the goalkeeper, jumping and shouting with excitement. It was great to see the girls so happy. They were 2011 Nor Cal State Cup Champions!
