San Ramon's Robotics Team wins FLL NorCal Championship

Legotronics Robotics Team wins FLL NorCal Championship, advances to the World tournament to compete with 90 teams from across the globe.

San Ramon's Legotronics Robotics, a team of 10 dedicated students in grades 5 through 8 from San Ramon and Dublin, has made a splash in the world of competitive robotics. On March 31, 2024, they clinched the top prize at the FLL NorCal Championship in Palo Alto, CA, outshining 35 other talented teams.

Their victory secured their place in the prestigious 2024 Western Edge Open international tournament, being held at the Long Beach Convention Center from May 31st to June 2nd, 2024. They'll proudly represent Northern California against 90 formidable teams from around the globe.

The team's success is a testament to their hard work and the expert guidance of coaches Hema Chebrolu, a software architect by profession, and Raju Kankipati, a sales and marketing executive at POET Technologies. The Legotronics team is affiliated with Tri-Valley Robotics, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is promoting robotics among young children in the Tri Valley area. The team embarked on this robotics challenge in August 2023 and has relentlessly honed their skills ever since.
