SAN RAMON, CA — A 41-year-old Castro Valley woman was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Crow Canyon Road in San Ramon Saturday afternoon, according to the San Ramon Police Department. A Pleasanton resident suspected of driving under the influence was taken into custody.

According to a preliminary investigation, Badal Dholaria, a 28-year-old Pleasanton resident, was driving a Tesla Model 3 that collided with a Ford Bronco, causing fatal injuries to the Bronco driver, SRPD said. Dholaria was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, treated, and released.

Dholaria was booked into Martinez Detention Facility on charges of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence, police said.

Police are not releasing the victim's name as of Sunday afternoon.

Crow Canyon Road was closed in both directions between Norris Canyon Road and Bollinger Canyon Road Saturday for the investigation, police said.
