That’s the reminder police sent this week regarding firework usage ahead of 4th of July.
All fireworks are illegal in Santa Cruz, the police department said.

“The @CityofSantaCruz will implement a Safety Enhancement Zone for Independence Day Holiday, Triple Fines In Effect July 1-5,” the police department said.
Fines for violators could reach more than $1,000.
