SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica police Friday are searching for an armed robbery suspect who fired at the victim's vehicle after the victim followed him on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway, authorities said.

The victim parked his vehicle in the 2600 block of 34th Street at 2 p.m. Monday when a suspect in a black sedan stopped in front of him, Lt. Rudy Flores of the Santa Monica Police Department said.

The front passenger of that vehicle walked to the victim’s vehicle, pulled out a handgun and demanded the victim’s cellphone and wallet, Flores said.

No injuries were reported.
