Man Injured In Suspected Propane Explosion At East County Home
Officials determined the explosion happened in the living room of the home.
LEMON GROVE, CA — A man was injured in a suspected propane explosion at a home in San Diego's East County, authorities said.
The blast happened shortly before 12:30 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 8300 block of Broadway in Lemon Grove, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies from the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Substation, along with firefighters from Heartland Fire & Rescue arrived within minutes and determined the explosion happened in the living room of the home. The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was driven by a neighbor to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

An investigation was ongoing but detectives with the Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit said all indications pointed to a propane explosion.
