1 Person Dead, 2 Injured in Car Crash on Highway 29

Accident was just after 4 a.m. just south of Calistoga.

A fatal vehicle collision is blocking southbound state Highway 29 in Napa County this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
          
The collision, just south of Calistoga, was reported at 4:08 a.m.
          
One person has been declared deceased and at least two other occupants of the vehicle had to be extracted by emergency crews, the CHP said.
          
As of 5:45 a.m. southbound lanes remain blocked at Tucker Road, according to the CHP.
          
The cause of the collision remains under investigation and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
