9 Grams Of Cocaine, Gun Seized From Santa Rosa 19-Year-Old: PD

What started as a traffic stop led to a search of the probationer's residence, the Santa Rosa Police Department said.

SANTA ROSA, CA — Santa Rosa police arrested a man on probation Wednesday on suspicion of possessing a firearm and suspected cocaine. A gang crimes detective was patrolling the Iroquois Street and W. Steele Lane area of west Santa Rosa around 5:30 p.m. when he saw a driver make a vehicle violation, police said.

The officer stopped the vehicle learned the driver, Orlando Albor-Perez, 19, of Santa Rosa was on probation for a previous drug case, police said.

Police searched Albor-Perez's residence and vehicles in the 900 block of College Avenue and found 200 rounds of .223-caliber ammunition, a 9mm semi-automatic handgun that was stolen from Oregon, a digital scale and nine grams of suspected cocaine.

Albor-Perez was arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail on drug and weapons charges and a violation or probation.
