Community Meeting: Jazz Plus Festival Launches $500,000 Fundraising Campaign
Community forum meets at 6 p.m. tonight
Sonoma Jazz Plus hosts a to garner support in the business community to create partnerships in the hopes of raising $500,000 before next year's festival.
The prominent jazz festival, which just wrapped up a successful seventh season, has raised over $450,000 for Sonoma's school music programs.
But in order to keep the festival afloat, more capital and business investments are needed.

“ We need a wider net of local Patrons and regional sponsors to keep the music playing at the festival, and especially year-round in our local school music education programs," said President and CEO Jim Horowitz.
The capital campaign is needed to fill in a deficit in the event's budget; without extra funds, next year's festival is on hold.
