Have You Voted for Sonoma?
Polls for the National Trust for Historic Preservation "Distinctive Destination" fan favorite will remain open until March 15.

We always knew Sonoma was distinctive--from the to the fantastic eateries, to our "jewel" of a Plaza-- but now, the National Trust for Historic Preservation agrees.
The city of Sonoma has been appointed one of twelve "Distinctive Destinations" in the U.S. by the National Trust for Historic Preservation--an accolade recognizing towns with distinctive cultural and historical attractions.
"[Sonoma] is a wonderful blend of historic charm and modern flair..the town boasts 26 restaurants in just 2.2 square miles," reads their profile of Sonoma. "Its past is felt inside many of these restaurants, which are housed inside historic buildings."

The Trust has run the Distinctive Destination since 2000 as a way of recognizing places with a "strong commitment to historic preservation, sustainability and revitalization," their website reads.
Sonoma shares the honor with towns from California to North Carolina, including Muskogee, OK, Eureka, CA,and Colorado Springs, CO.

More importantly, there's other accolades to compete for. The Trust is running a "fan favorite" contest for the twelve destinations to compete against each other for the top title. You have to register to vote, and the polls remain open until March 15.
So get out there and show some Sonoma pride!
Because, at the very least, we have to beat Eureka--right?
