Man Accused Of Carjacking Minivan, Driving On Wrong Side Of Highway
A man is accused of carjacking a woman in Santa Rosa and driving on the wrong side of U.S. Highway 101.

SANTA ROSA, CA — A Santa Rosa man is accused of carjacking a woman in Santa Rosa on Friday and driving on the wrong side of U.S. Highway 101.
Santa Rosa police responded to a report of a carjacking at about 8 p.m. at Santa Rosa Avenue and Third Street, police said on Saturday.
The victim was stopped at a red light in a silver Honda Odyssey minivan when the assailant, who the police allege was Ryan Humphreys, jumped into the vehicle and told the woman to drive.
The woman jumped out of the van and ran to the sidewalk, according to police.

Humphreys allegedly drove off and entered the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 going northbound.
He is accused of abandoning the vehicle near the Hearn Avenue offramp and running from California Highway Patrol officers on foot.

Humphreys is also accused of side-swiping another vehicle during the pursuit.
He was taken into custody near Santa Rosa Avenue and Hearn Avenue and was booked into Sonoma County Jail.
