At 6 p.m. the Sonoma Community Center doors open on the Rotary Club’s St. Patrick’s Day party. They’ll be drawing tickets for the “Luck O’the Irish Raffle with it’s $10,000 cash prize or two week trip to Ireland. Only 1200 tickets will be sold for the five prizes. Buy your tickets online for $25 plus $1.62 online fee.

In response to the many alcohol promotions and events planned for Thursday's holiday, the DUI task force will use roving patrols in areas that have a high rate of DUI collisions and arrests, officials said.
The Sonoma Police Department will have an extra officer dedicated to DUI enforcement, according to Sonoma Police Department Sgt. Spencer Crum.
The county's DUI task force is asking the public to prepare a safe way home before the festivities begin by designating a sober driver.
