Vandalism, Trespassing: While showing a vacant property on the 100 block of East Macarthur to a handyman, a real estate agent was startled when a young man - reportedly slim, clean shaven, with slicked back hair, between 5’6 and 5'8  - ran out of the property. Inside the property, the agent found lewd drawings penned to a wall.

Burglary: A Husqvarna electric push lawnmower, valued at $450, was stolen from a shed at Arnold Field.

Violation of a Protective Order: Police arrested a 29-year-old man who reportedly harassed his ex-girlfriend, visiting her property three-times and repeatedly phoning her. The woman had taken out a restraining order against the man.

Sunday, May 1

Possession of a Controlled Substance: Responding to reports of an intoxicated man hanging out near Arnold Field, police arrested Chris Peterson, a 41-year-old Sonoma man. Peterson was unable to stand, and police found a bag containing 8.6 grams of methamphetamine in his right front pants pocket, and a pipe, typically used for smoking meth. When asked why he was in such a sorry state, Peterson told police, “I don’t know someone must have drugged me.” He was booked into Sonoma County Jail, charged with public intoxication and possession of a controlled substance.

Vandalism: A resident of the 200 block of West Spain St. reported that someone broke the back window of his '93 Honda Accord, which was parked in front of his house. The damage is estimated at $300.

Monday, May 2

Found Property: A resident of San Lorenzo Court reported that her children had found a box of abandoned guns by the creek. Police recovered two Airsoft guns, 2 BB guns and one "Cat" gun.

Tuesday, May 3

Shoplifting: An employee of the thrift store suspected a 19-year-old boy of shoplifting several t-shirts, but when she confronted the boy outside the store, he ran. Police picked up a 19-year-old male fitting the description, who admitted to taking the shirts, and said he'd stashed them behind some bushes on the 100 block of Second St. West. Police recovered three shirts, valued at $41.20, and issued the boy a citation for shoplifting.

Medical Care or Sex Crime: A visually impaired man was surprised when a woman entered his home between 2 and 3 p.m., and said she was there to give him an enema. The man had recently undergone intestinal surgery, and presumed the woman was a nurse, who had been ordered by his doctor, and consented to the procedure. On Monday, he phoned his doctor who said that he had not ordered the procedure, and suggested that he file a report with the police department.

Burglary: Someone entered a residence at the 2200 block of Thornsbury road and stole two laptop computers, valued at $400 and a camera worth $400 and a backpack with "Pop Warner" embroidered logo.

Wednesday, May 4

Animal Complaint: Police issued a citation to residents of a property on the 400 block of Emily Meadows for keeping more than three dogs or cats, having howling or barking dogs and failure to display animal license tags.

Found Property: The Sonoma Police department accepted several "found" items, which had been turned into staff at City Hall. The items included a film camera, a calculator watch with a dead battery.
