Power Restored to 8,200 Following Arnold Drive Crash
Six users still without power, after a car downed a power pole off of Arnold Drive.
PG&E crews spent this morning scrambling, after a car crashed into a power pole on Arnold Drive, cutting power to over 8,200 residences and businesses.
Just before 7 a.m., a green Chevy veered of Arnold Drive, just north of Leveroni, hitting a power pole and knocking it almost entirely to the ground, according to CHP Sgt. Joe Mcdermott. Though the driver remained uninjured, about 8,200 residents lost power.
Power was cut to residents and businesses to the west of Sonoma along Arnold Drive, and west of Sonoma Creek from Leveroni to Agua Caliente Road, according to PG&E Spokesperson Brandi Ehlers.

PG&E restored power to all but 6 customers by 9:30 a.m, said Ehlers, but the rest will have to wait until the repairs to the pole are completed, around 5 p.m. tonight.
Drivers should expect delays, according to Mcdermott, while the northbound lane of Arnold Drive, north of Leveroni, is closed to traffic during PG&E repairs.
