Sonoma Patch Seeks Your Letters to the Editor
I hope to publish community letters and opinions regularly

Since Patch launched four months ago (crazy!), I've been excited to see the amount of participation from the community. Folks share , write and create announcements and events. People post comments nearly every day, both here and on the Sonoma Patch Facebook page. I've also heard directly from many of you, with suggestions and feedback about our stories.
There's another way you can get involved, though it may not immediately be apparent from the layout of the site. So I wanted to take a moment to extend an invitation to every member of the community to write letters to the editor about issues of concern.
I am more than happy to publish these letters regularly. Letters should be no more than 300 words. If you'd like to write longer "guest columns," please send those along as well.

All submissions should include your full name, address and telephone number for verification purposes. Send them to me at alexis.fitts@patch.com with the subject line "letter to the editor" or "guest column." You can include relevant photographs with your message if you're so inclined, but that's completely optional.
We're a very opinionated community - as I've learned in the four months running this site - and sharing our thoughts and arguments, whether online at a city council meeting, can only lead to informed change. The more Sonoma Patch serves as a space for community dialogue, the more useful the site will be. So next time something bothers you, or moves you, about how things work in Sonoma, consider taking a moment to send a letter to Patch. Chances are, you're not the only one who's noticed.
