Friday, March 4

Vandalism: A city employee reported that a water pump was turned on in a pre-school on the 100 block of Mission Terrace. The pump caused a leak in a pipe. A teacher estimated that the pipe had been on since Monday.

Violation of Probation: Deputies stopped a 25-year-old Benigno Soto who was driving a red Nissan truck west bound on West Second Street, when a background search on his vehicle showed his licence was suspended for a prior DUI. Soto, was cited and released.

Fraud: A Sonoma resident reported three false charges, had been placed in Wyoming, on an Alaska USA card: a $300 charge at a gas station on Feb. 28, and two $75 charges at a truck stop on March 1.

Saturday, March 5

Under the Influence: Police responded to reports of a domestic fight, between a father and his 17-year-old son. Police said the father displayed classic signs of being under the influence of a substance, and refused to provide a urine sample to police. He was booked into county jail, charged with being under the influence.

Sunday, March 6

Found Property: A citizen turned in an Arizona drivers license to the Police Deportment. Police contacted its owner.

Found Property: Someone turned in a set of keys to the Police Department.

Monday, March 7

DUI: Deputies pulled over a man driving a '92 blue Ford Explorer, with only one functioning headlight, on East Macarthur Street. The driver said he had not been drinking, then admitted to drinking two Bush beers. A preliminary alcohol screening placed his blood alcohol at .21, more than twice the legal limit. He was charged with driving under the influence and booked into county jail.

Tuesday, March 8

Grand Theft: Just after taking out a load of garbage at 10:20 p.m., a worker at the Best Western returned to find a 21-speed Giant Sedona bicycle, with a front pouch, missing, as well as an ipod nano sitting on a table near the bike.  Together the loss is valued at $200.

Wednesday, March 9

Found Property: found two backpacks in their parking lot. The backpacks will be held at the Police Department for a week before they're transferred to the Sheriff's Office.
