Teen Stabbed In Suspected Gang Incident Near Sonoma: Cops

The boy told deputies the suspect asked him his gang status, then stabbed him, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

SONOMA VALLEY, CA — A 16-year-old boy was stabbed several times Saturday night near
Sonoma but he is expected to survive, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said. The boy said he was riding his bike on a path in front of the Rancho Vista Mobile Home Park in the 17300 block of state Highway 12 in Agua Caliente when a stranger asked him his gang status, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said.

The boy said he wasn't a gang member and the suspect stabbed him several times with a knife in the stomach, chest and arms, Crum said. The boy rode home and his parents called an ambulance to take him to a hospital.

The sheriff's office responded around 8 p.m. The boy initially described the suspect as a Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic female with short hair, 18-19 years old, 5 feet 5 inches and 130 pounds, Crum said.
