Week in Review: Preparing for Adulthood, Sonoma's Homeless

The weather is playing tricks with my head. First of all, how is it already February? It seems like just last week we were breaking for Christmas. Now, it's 65 degrees, and people are frolicking like we're in the heart of an Indian summer.

Weather, it's a crazy thing.

Anyways, the Patch week kicked off with rundown of . In the Sonoma Valley, the organization of the count was changed: More local guides; more local volunteers; more bilingual participants. We'll find out later this year if the changes led to a more accurate count (the 2009 count only found 6 homeless people in the valley).

Friday, we stopped by a really special event: the "Road to Reality" series, put on by our local chapter of the Soroptimists for Sonoma Valley High School seniors.   Special thanks to Maddy Neiman Leader, for organizing the event (we couldn't get a shot of her day of! Drast!).
