The Arco station at 736 Mission Blvd. checks in at $3.97 per gallon, according to gasbuddy.com, which offers the latest, lowest prices in Los Angeles according to the zip code you plug in. Keep in mind, Arco tacks on a few cents if you use a debit or credit card.
The Chevron station at 1400 Mission St. offers $4.17 per gallon. According to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report, $4.07 is the current average for California - just four cents away from the highest recorded national average of $4.11, back in July 2008.

As of this morning, the national average for regular unleaded gas is $3.67 per gallon, the AAA website states.
