Bacari Delivers Sharable Plates and a Romantic Vibe

Bacari Silver Lake has opened in the old Cliff’s Edge space on Sunset Boulevard. The farmhouse Tuscany ambiance includes huge lit trees, a variety of patio space to dine and a beautiful garden area.

Co-owner and chef Lior Hillel has kept the sharable plates concept featuring Mediterranean dishes. Standout starters include the pick your own cheese and salami charcuterie board. Diners can choose three or four options which come with mustard, cornichon, caper berry, dried apricot and a baguette. The shallot tarte tatin with pomegranate molasses; rainbow beet salad and salatim vegan cashew pate are also great choices.

Main courses include seafood, pasta, steaks and vegetarian options. Standout dishes include the sea bass with charred shishitto peppers and corn with pomegranate molasses, scallops with corn and tomatoes in a beurre fondue and the petite filet with grilled zucchini in a béarnaise sauce.

The menu also includes a wide variety of pizzas including pear and brie with guava, bacon and cream brie and smoked mushroom with cheddar.

Custom cocktails include the strawberry fizz with vodka, strawberry, aperol, egg white and lemon; the Mr. and Mrs. Smith with rum, apple juiced fennel and lime, the mad mango sour with mescal, jalapeno, carrot, lemon, mango, egg white and black salt and the Tokyo sunset with whisky, ,yuzu, lime, shiso leaf and grapefruit zest.

Desserts include a double chocolate cake, ice cream, rosewater custard with hibiscus and candied pistachio. Their “best cake you’ve ever had” lives up to it’s name with dates, brown sugar caramel, crispy bacon and ice cream.
