Quake Rattles Southern California: Did You Feel It?
The earthquake was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m.
IDYLLWILD, CA — A magnitude 3.2 earthquake struck with an epicenter near Idyllwild, California, in Riverside County on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The temblor was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m., and was initially reported as a 3.6 quake, according to the USGS. That magnitude was later downgraded, upon geologist review of the seismic data.
The quake rattled residents from Riverside County's desert communities, including Murrieta and Temecula, to Northern San Diego County, according to initial reports, centered about 8 kilometers south-southwest of Idyllwild, the USGS said.

No injuries were reported as a result of today's quake.

The initial quake was felt across the Coachella Desert communities. Follow-up Did You Feel it data showed residents noticed the temblor as far south as Escondido, in San Diego County, according to the USGS.
