Deadly Crash Reported In Hayward

HAYWARD, CA — A 41-year-old Hayward man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Gresel Street in Hayward. The victim's name is not immediately available.

According to police, "Witnesses on scene reported two unidentified males fleeing the scene of the collision."

Police report that the vehicle struck a curb and rolled onto its driver side, coming to a rest near the curb. The crash happened around 3:25 a.m.

The victim was a passenger who was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
