PG&E Replacing Gas Pipelines In Union City

The project is underway and is expected to last into next year. See the list of streets that will be impacted.

UNION CITY, CA — PG&E began a major construction project in Union City in mid-May.

The public utility is performing upgrades on its gas distribution system. The project involves underground directional boring, digging up streets for placement of gas pipeline, installation of electrolysis test stations, and establishment of traffic control.

The work will be done from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at the following locations:

  • Rocklin Drive from Union City Boulevard to Regents Boulevard
  • Anaheim Loop from Rocklin Drive to Rocklin Drive
  • Antioch Loop from Rocklin Drive to Rocklin Drive
  • Bel Aire Street from Rocklin Drive to Scotia Street
  • Bel Aire Court
  • Blythe Street from Bel Aire Street to Jean Drive
  • Scotia Street from Bel Aire Street to Blythe Street

Construction is scheduled to be completed next February.
