Sig-Alert Lifted On I-880 For Crash Involving Overturned Vehicle

HAYWARD, CA — The California Highway Patrol has lifted a sig-alert for northbound Interstate Highway 880 in Hayward that was in effect for less than a half-hour. All lanes have reopened.

A three vehicle crash involving two cars and an overturned SUV blocked the two left lanes, prompting the sig-alert.

The CHP reports that there were no injuries.

The first call into CHP was received at 12:05. p.m. The sig-alert went into effect at 12:34 and was lifted at 12:59.

The vehicles involved were a red Mustang, a white Mercedes and a black SUV.
