East Bay Regional Park District To Hold Virtual Youth Job Fair

Job seekers 15-24 years old can learn about paid seasonal and year-round jobs available in the Park District.

EAST BAY, CA — The East Bay Regional Park District invites people 15-24 years old to attend its upcoming 2023 Virtual Job Fair.

The job fair to be held 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, on Zoom, will provide participants the opportunity to learn about paid seasonal and year-round jobs available in the Park District. Participants will gain valuable first-hand knowledge from staff who would supervise or work alongside them in many of these positions, according to a news release.

“The Park District is proud to employ students in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, staffing approximately 300 seasonal positions every year,” said Janelle Rodrigues, chief of Workforce Development for the Park District. “There are some really phenomenal opportunities for young people to gain professional experience and pathways to careers in the Park District. We encourage youth and students in our community to apply and explore all that the Park District has to offer.”

Registration is required; guests can save a spot via the Zoom Registration link. Participants are encouraged to have their cameras on and dress appropriately as if they were attending a job fair in person.

  • Overview and tips on the application and interview process
  • A typical day in a position: job duties, scenarios, and the skills needed
  • Park locations, facilities, or offices for positions
  • Learn about the career pathways from those positions
  • What an ideal candidate looks like for a position
