Police Release Dash Cam Video Of Highway Chase

After police called off a Tuesday night high-speed pursuit, a BMW flew off a connector ramp to I-680 and landed upside down in a building.


WALNUT CREEK - The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office has released dash cam video of the high speed pursuit Wednesday night after which a BMW flew off the road and crashed into a Walnut Creek Yoga studio, landing upside down.

Two people were hurt.

The silent video shows a police vehicle alongside the suspect's BMW SUV in the far left-hand lane.

The BMW pulls in front of the police vehicle and accelerates to a high speed.

The officer attempts to get the license plate of the BMW.

Moments later, the BMW accelerated at an even higher speed while weaving between cars.

The vehicle was on the Highway 24 connector ramp to southbound Interstate Highway 680 when it left the roadway, hit multiple trees and shrubbery and landed on its roof before crashing into the building at 2363 Boulevard Circle.
