Reach For The Sky: Photo Of The Day

WALNUT CREEK, CA — Patch reader Fran Guidry took this shot Thursday, April 11, using a Panasonic Lumix GH4.

"Taking the camera along makes a walk seem shorter and easier, so I wound up climbing to the ridge top in the Acalanes Open Space just so I could find a good angle for this shot," Fran wrote n an email to Patch. "This old oak hasn't survived but it still holds on to the side of the slope and reaches for the sky."
