DUI Checkpoint In Watsonville Friday Night

Here's what time Watsonville residents can expect the checkpoint to be in effect.

WATSONVILLE, CA — The Watsonville Police Department is looking to crack down on intoxicated drivers Friday night.

Police will host a checkpoint to look for drivers who are under the influence and without driver's licenses from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, police announced. The location was not disclosed.

The checkpoint and patrols will take place in areas with a history of DUI-related arrests and crashes, police said.

A DUI charge might cost a total of $13,500 and could result in a suspended license and jail time, police said.
