STORM: Rainfall To Begin In Watsonville, Free Sandbags Available
With rain on the horizon, sandbags are available for pickup at two Watsonville locations.
WATSONVILLE, CA — Watsonville residents preparing for the first major winter storm of the season may fill and pick up a maximum of 10 sandbags per household at two locations in the city.
Sandbags can be picked up at Watsonville Fire Station Number 1 (115 Second Street) and Home Depot (355 S. Green Valley Road). Should the city declare an official emergency, residents are allowed more than 10 bags.
The National Weather Service forecast rain would likely fall in Watsonville, from Tuesday night to Wednesday night. Skies were expected to clear up Thanksgiving Day.
