Watsonville Neighborhood Scene of Wild Disturbance

Man arrested on felony charges after threatening to kill the family dog.

A domestic disturbance flowed onto the street in Watsonville neighborhood on Monday evening.

Watsonville Police, California Highway Patrol and Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a disturbance on Aldridge Lane. Deputies received a report of a woman running down the street yelling "Don't hit me," and a man chasing her and threatening to kill a dog.

There were no reported physical signs that the man hit the woman. He was arrested for threatening to kill the dog and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on felony charges. Bail was set at $10,000.

The couple's name is being withheld at the request of the Sheriff's Office.
