Wind Advisory Issued For Monterey County Coast, Nearby

Winds may bring down tree limbs and cause power outages, according to weather officials.

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA — A wind advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. Wednesday for along and near the Monterey County coast, according to the National Weather Service. Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts of up to 45 mph are expected.

Winds can blow around objects that aren't secured, tree limbs may come down and power may fail. Winds can make driving challenging, especially for high profile vehicles such as SUVs.

Weather officials issue a wind advisory when winds of 35 mph are expected.
